Ok, as it is now you can open up CW rx all the way to 2.8 kHz if you like with the 2.7 kHz filter installed - and *enabled* for CW mode.
Do you have the 2.7 kHz filter enabled for CW mode? If not, then I can understand the need for this split setup to "open up the DSP filters" for CW rx. Since filters are enabled on a per-mode basis, things can get a bit confusing.
