I would like to add my opinion to this issue... just in case anyone is keeping score :-) .

I would recommend that this NOT be incorporated into the K3. There are at least 4 places that I'm aware of on the existing K3 where PTT can be manually asserted while in SSB mode. On the Front Panel one may tap the XMIT button; the MIC connector has a PTT pin for access; on the back panel there is an input jack for an external switch for asserting PTT; and the Accessory port on the back has a pin dedicated to PTT. It would seem to me that 4 different input locations are enough and that the paddle/key inputs should NOT be used for a PTT function. Even though we've been assured that there is plenty of memory available in the K3 for doing wonderful things, it is finite.

It would be nice to be able to use CW paddle plugged into paddle jack.

This is very handy in the K2 when I use the Heil
headset and don't want to
use the vox.
Is this already possible with the K3?
Plug your key into the KEY jack, next to the PADDLE jack. Or plug a footswitch or handswitch into the
KEY jack.

It does not work neither in KEY nor in PADDLE. Both lines are inactive in SSB mode. Whom can I bother to put it on the wishlist?
