I'm trying two different mics to transmit with. One is a Kenwood hand mic from a Kenwood 570D and the other is a Heil Pro Set Plus with an 8pin Kenwood mic adapter. I haven't had any luck when even trying to set up my levels for transmitting. I cannot get any bar to show up or move on the ALC or Compression when keying down. I have tried with the compression as high a 30 and the mic gain as high as 60 but no movement, whether in TX Test or regular TX mode.
I feel like I am forgetting to change one setting somewhere, if that is what the problem is. I put the K3 together myself and don't know if something could have been done wrong there, but after looking again and again in the manual, I just don't know what else to try. Any suggestions, even to go and check basic settings will be appreciated. Please reply offline.
