Good move on getting a factory assembled radio. Well worth the $250 or so to get a factory assembled, tested rig. Sure bets waiting for parts, pieces, and assistance with parameter settings. My #818 has been sitting in my shack, inoperative, waiting for parts and pieces for over 9 days. My experience might be the exception but it is not the kind of experience one wants with an expensive ham radio.
