I have been following this thread for a while and think that the initial question was how to use the Proset Plus with the dual element, one of which is the ic element designed for the Icom rigs.
I am not sure how this could be done without a special adapter but someone might have practical experience of the issue. As regards the Elecraft Proset does this have a foam windshield on the microphone ?
