That's a wonderful idea Henry. It would be a great option for Elecraft or even a 3rd party. The K3 lends it'self to that kind of expansion since it's got those machine screws all over it. Actuall, a front firing speaker on each side for stereo rx would be even better.

The handles would be a nice option for the k3.

And a 4 to 5 inch wide (0.5EC-3) cabinet could hold a nice front firing
speaker and a switching power supply. If this could be attached to the K3 side

panel and then add some rack-panel handles, you would have a nice 19-inch wide
rack panel package.
