Of course, if it were possible to plug a keyboard into the K3's programming jack it might be possible to use a keyboard instead of paddles and have a Morse generator that does *everything* automatically.
I wonder how far away we are from rigs in which you speak into a microphone and it transmits PSK, RTTY, CW or that "ancient" SSB modulation? And then, instead of a scrolling row of characters across a display, a voice of our choosing speaks whatever is being received in any of those modes. Ron AC7AC -----Original Message----- I would like to second that request. I still use the CMOS Super Keyer 1 which came after the Accukeyer and it has ACS which I miss when using the K2 and (soon - maybe this weekend - 35% assembled so far) K3. Once you get used to ACS, it is hard to do without it. The K1EL, NorCal, and PK4 keyers, and others, have ACS. 73, John W2XS (BTW - IMHO - the software implementation of ACS in the Logikeyers, direct descendants of the CMOS Super Keyer, is not as good as the older, hardware-only implementation). _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
