What's the big deal with birdies? Perhaps if you are operating from the middle of nowhere miles from the nearest computer the bands are actually quiet unless a real signal is present. Here there are so many unmodulated carriers and other noises from computers, computer peripherals, cordless phones, TV set top boxes, burglar alarms and goodness knows what else that you just get used to them. If some of them were actually generated from within the K3 I would never know. ----- Julian, G4ILO K3 s/n: 222 K2 s/n: 392 G4ILO's Shack: www.g4ilo.com Zerobeat Ham Forums: www.zerobeat.net/smf -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/K3-10M-Birdie-tp17458757p17461803.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
