I have yet to ever hear my K3 fans, maybe they work or maybe they don't. They worked in the test associated with building the radio.
It is true that I don't operate in contests much but I do leave the power level at 120 watts most of the time except when I am on digital modes and then I dial it down to 40 watts. Okay, sometimes I operate 5 watts QRP too. The bottom line is that if the fans are working I would need a properly positioned mirror in order to tell.
