Rick,

Your K2 Manual shows all the pinouts, and it describes how to jumper the various pins if needed. You just need to look at the pinout for the mike you have, and jumper accordingly. You may have to solder some of the jumpers if they are not directly across. Otherwise, just use the pins jumpers provided. If your microphone is an electret, you will need to put a jumper between the V+ pin (pin 6 I think), and whichever pin is your microphone pin. It's all described there.

Subject: [Elecraft] Need Pinout for Heil HMM "icom" hand mic

I need to connect a Heil HMM "for icom only" mic to a K2. The KSB2 and Heil
Website don't mention this mic. The pinout is not the same as the
Heil-manufactured Elecraft MH2. The mic has a handwritten label "PTT 5&6"
and I have confirmed that this is correct. How do I jumper the mic pin block
for audio (pin 1?) and 5V? What value bias resistor should I try?

Thanks,

/Rick N6XI
