Bruce and Dick, Thank you for your suggestions. Turns out the problem was a defective USB/Serial Converter. All if fine now.
I guess all the dirty power, even though I had a UPS in line, got to the converter some how. Or maybe it just quit. Mack WB4MAK wrote: > > A bit of help please.
