Following an accident with my linear amp I now have both D36 and D37 diodes (SWR / Power detection) on the RF board of my K3 open circuit. I will be ordering replacements from Elecraft when they open Monday and replacement of my bad diodes on the bottom of the RF board looks to be straightforward.

If anybody out there has done this and has any advice to offer I would appreciate the benefit of your experience. I plan to remove the existing diodes by destroying them with diagonal cutters and then removing the pieces with a soldering iron ... followed by replacing them with new SMT parts in the usual manner.
