If no antenna tuner, must one install the BNC connector?  I don't see ever
needing to connect the sub rx antenna to any but the transmit antenna.   The
firmware makes one choose either BNC or antenna tuner. There is no choice
for none.

This is for specifying the alternate antenna input for the KRX3. Not selecting the alternate antenna input is "none".

I've found all sorts of uses for the BNC that I didn't envision when I installed it. Since you don't have the KAT3, I encourage you to seriously consider adding the BNC with the KRX3. It comes with the KRX3 and only costs another 30 minutes or so in the installation.

I had my KRX3 initially set up with the KAT3. Later in the development and testing cycle the BNC cable became available, and I installed it.

I'm leaving it with the BNC!
