Hi Werner, My understanding is that the XG2 is not a precision tool and you should therefore not try to align your K3 by zero-beating it with the XG2. Try doing it with WWV (or RWM in Europe). I think I also very saw recently an interesting zero-beating procedure using Spectrogram explained by Don, W3FPR on the Reflector.
