I have just completed an Elecraft XV144 transverter and it is working with my
K2. Now I want to use it with my K3, but I am uncertain how to wire the
connector cable at the K3 end. I think the correct connections are as follows
using the ACC connector on my K3:
ACC Pin 2 - Auxbus: connect to green wire - Pin 6 on DB-9
ACC Pin 7 - K3 on signal: connect to red wire - Pin 8 on DB-9
ACC Pin 10 - Keyout: connect to black wire - Pin 9 on DB-9
ACC Pin 5 or 12 - Gnd: connect to bare wire - Pin 1 on DB-9
This is correct as far as I can determine from looking at the XV144 schematic
on page A-5 of the XV manual. However, in reading the circuit description on
page 23 of the manual there are discrepancies. For example, in paragraph 3 on
page 23 it says "+12 volts is supplied via pin 9 of the DB-9 connector to Q5."
Not so according to the schematic - it is pin 8. Also, in the 7th paragraph on
page 23 it says "when the 8R signal at pin 6 of the DB-9 interface goes to a
logic low" it switches between receive and transmit mode. Not so according to
the schematic - it is pin 9. So, which do I believe, the schematic or the text?

Can someone who has successfully interfaced the K3 with an Elecraft XV
transverter please tell me the correct pins to use on the ACC connector? Thanks.
