I couldn't agree more! This is an IC-746 with a few new features and less 2M. So what? It may be nice for the casual operator not concerned with DXing or contesting and cannot afford their 7700. I don't know first hand, but I understand the scopes on this and the 7700 are not real time. I just don't see the usefullness if it's not.
