Hi Wim, There will be a dedicated 6m pre-amp soon available for the K3 (to be connected between the 'Ant in' and 'Ant out' connectors of the KXV3 option). I am not sure what the NF will be, but I think they are aiming for a value around 1 dB or better.
I have the prototype of this pre-amp and that already gives a noticeable improvement over the stock, build-in pre-amp. -- Enno, PF5X K3 #1263 pa2am wrote: > > hello, > > I will starting with 6m EME, whats better for EME? > > The XV50 transverter with a typically noise figure from 0.8 db or the > normale K-3 on 6m ( noise ?? ) > > Wim PA2AM > K-3 576 > K-2 4769 > K-2 4008 > _______________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Post to: [email protected] > You must be a subscriber to post to the list. > Subscriber Info (Addr.
