I am sure the XV series will interface to the K2 easily enough, I did a
similar interface to the Microwave Modules transverters with a K2. See:

Hello all,
The XV transverter manuals provide information on connecting the
transverters to almost any radio with 28MHZ.
Does this me it "cannot" be connected to the K2 without a K60VX and
KIO2? About $200.00 more!
The XV manual talks about getting a "Transmit Key Signal (TX Key)" to
pull a 5V logic level to 0.5V or less. Where would you get this on a K2?
