Hello Ken: A K60XV interface is NOT required. See "Elecraft K2 with no K60XV Interface" in the "Installation" instructions on page 6 of the Owner's manual. The owner's manual may be downloaded from the Elecraft web site here:
http://www.elecraft.com/manual/XV%20Transverter%20Owner's%20Manual-D.pdf The only thing you must have in the K2 is a KIO2 interface (provides the AUX interface with band data for the transverter). The Owner's manual contains instructions for interfacing any of the Elecraft transverters with non-Elecraft HF rigs as well. Does this me it "cannot" be connected to the K2 without a K60VX and KIO2? About $200.00 more! The XV manual talks about getting a "Transmit Key Signal (TX Key)" to pull a 5V logic level to 0.5V or less. Where would you get this on a K2? Thanks, Ken _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr.
