K2 S/N 0539 is doing very well. I use it everyday and have put very few modifications into it. I've done some dumb things with it which have caused me to replace the finals a few times and the driver once. I've got a small fortune in it with all but the 60m option in place (notice I did not say K2/100, that's not a K2). It is the second most expensive item in my shack, second only to my TS-850S/AT which competes very aggressively with the K2 on receive.
A K3? Not in my future, way too much money for casual operating. I'm glad Elecraft has found a couple of thousand hams willing to part with a major chunk of change for a K3, but I'm priced out of the market. I hope they continue their great success. Oh, and the Elecraft amplifiers are also out of the question pricewise, too. Hello everyone, Someone recently wondered about the absence of comments on the list about other Elecraft rigs besides the K3. Well, one of them, my K2/100, #5615 is happily operating very well and still flawless as far as I'm concered for my ham radio needs. Yes, there are a few of us reading the list who are not K3 users! 73 to all, Steve Banks K0PQ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
