Having just fought through the same issue ... Enter the CONFIG menu, select the FLx options, then press SUB. Pressing SUB is the key to getting into the filter configuration items for the KRX3. At that point, set the various frequencies and gains ... don't for get to enable the appropriate fitters for each mode. LSB, USB, CW, DATA, AM and FM must EACH have the appropriate filters enables/disabled individually.
