Yes! Something around 7 inches wide, such that front firing speaker and power supply will fit; making the side-by-side combo suitable for fiting a rackmount cabinet space.

But, I am sure that there are others that want a full-size empty K3 space for even more goodies - a link-coupled antenna tuner, a 500 to 1KW solid-state HF amplifier, a 16:9 ratio LCD screen for the panadaptor and viewing the forthcoming blockbuster video documentary - "The K3 Files"!
