Hello All, Last week I put together my K3 serial number 1849. Right after the first calibration I ran into a problem. The display showed ERR VC4 E 00039. After contacting Elcraft I got an email from Garry explaining to me how I could fix the problem by spreading the turns on the T1 VCO inductor on the KSYN3 board. Today I was able to try and fix the error and I followed Garry's instructions to the letter. Did it help? I'm not sure. I don't get the ERR VC4 E 00039 massage anymore but insted I get an ERR VCO E 00178 message.
I have to wait another day to contact Garry but maybe one off you guys can help me out.
