Now that the votes are in, *g*... I want to add my 1/2 cent worth...
I looked diligently at the Hakko products, found the 936 series was vere good.
Ran across the KADA line, found it was very comparable on most points, but with
a
couple exceptions... and they were better, for me. The price was better, it is
repairable,
without a huge effort for special parts, hot air, temp control, with cool down
built in,
air flow force controlable, although not easy, but ... how often does that
really need setting.
A minor drawback, is that the cord to the iron is short.... when I saw that, I
though... oh oh...
that is a problem.. I'll never reach .... found out I can reach... but I also
don't burn the cord...
Gee.... that worked out.
So... my vote, especially after using it for a number of kits, and piles of
radios, is the KADO 852D... underline the D.... that is the good one. catch it
on sale... well worth the money.
