The mounting problem is a vehicle dependent consideration, but the
K2/100 itself will "take it". I know of at least 1 K2/100 which I built
that was mounted and used in an 'over-the-road, long haul' 18 wheeler
for a few years, and I never heard of any problems that occurred with
it. The owner was quite active while on the road because he enjoyed
giving new counties on the county hunter net. I can't think of a more
harsh mobile environment than that.
