I would say : signal tracing, as explained in the owner manual. The K2 ist the
perfect rig to do this kind of job : its design and construction are simple and
access to the components is easy. Have a look to the "dirty signal tracing" on
the elecraft site.

Just got K2 s/hand ser23---(i'm very green on K2's)
prev owner said perf ok, but I find onlytx/ rx on 80and 20mtrs all
other bands dead,has all latest up dates fitted,been through all menu's,also
fault on rf gain, cuts out when turned up (no audio at all but returns when
backed off.
