Jon,

You can use the larger capacitor under 3 conditions. 1) The capacitance is the same, 2) The voltage rating is as high or higher (I believe the small blue ones are rated at 50 volts), and 3) You can make it fit physically without resorting the long leads - C222 is used at 21 MHz.

Is it ok to substitute the bigger one for the blue pillow-shaped type? I don't have any leftover capacitors (other than those that should be left over), so I'm guessing that I lost the C222 capacitor somewhere on my work table. Jon
