Hi all,

In the 4-digit version of the "PC" (power control) command, the 4th digit is a range selector: x0.1 or x1 watts. The first three digits set the desired power level.

For example if you wanted 3.5 watts, you'd send: PC0350

while for 35 watts you'd send: PC0351

In the QRP case, the KPA3 would be put into bypass mode, hence your inability to go above 12 W with the front panel knob. You could go into CONFIG:KPA3 and set it back to PA NOR, or just send a PC command with a '1' at the end.

Note that the 4-digit version of the command is only available if you turn on K2-style command extensions, by sending "K22". This allows you to set power in 0.1-watt units, as described above. If you turn K2 extensions off (by sending "K20"), you'll be at the original 3-digit version of the PC command, which is always in watts, and will not affect the mode of the KPA3.

For further details please see the K3 Programmer's Reference, on our web site.
