For those of you working with "through hole" and even surface mount PC boards and needing a real good rework station that has both adjustable vacuum and adjustable pressure air to run hot-tip desoldering tools, and hot-air surface mount rework tools, I have just the thing for you.
This is an A.P.E. (Automated Production Equipment) model EX-700 (larger configuration as used by the military) that is essentially new. It's been used to de-solder one connection since I got it. APE sells this thing new for over $1200. It will take all the PACE or APE tips. It comes complete with the vacuum desoldering tool, soldering pencil, control unit, cleaning tools, extra desoldering tips, footswitch and manual. Temperature control on both the soldering and desoldering side is digitally controlled with large LED digital readouts. Set the temp, and it will stay where you set it. This unit did not come with the hot-air tool but it can be obtained and will work with the controller. The outlets on the front are 24 Volt AC for the two tools, adjustable air pressure and vacuum. The temperature ranges for both the soldering and desoldering sides are selectable 200-500 degrees low and 500-950 degrees high. I'm asking $350 shipped anywhere in the US for it.
