I am planning to visit Australia in a few months (I live in the U.S.), and I want to take my K3 with me. Does anyone know of any restrictions or prohibitions for packing the K3 (and the power supply) in my suitcase and taking there? Do I need some kind of permission or license from the Australian "FCC"?
Also, can anyone recommend an HF antenna for that purpose--I will be staying in a hotel, presumably with a window that opens, perhaps a balcony? I suppose I could hang a random wire out of the window, but I'd like to try something better if it's not too expensive, heavy or bulky.
