Is remove of L4 on the front panel board and L7 on the
KIO3 audio board
"official" Elecraft modifications?
Bypassing these two inductors will not impact your warranty.

By the way, I found an easy way to do the L4 deal. If you
remove the left side panel of the K3, you can reach in and
ground pin 7 of the mic socket to a little terminal on the
board marked "gnd" with a piece of wire, and save the
trouble of removing the front panel board.
