Good Evening,
I cannot see the sun today, there is too much snow falling right now. It
started falling slowly yesterday before noon but did not start to accumulate
until after dinner. There are currently three inches on the ground and the
pace has sped up considerably. By tomorrow at this time there should be a foot
on the ground with more on the way. Luckily the 60 mile per hour winds have
not arrived and may not occur. For that I am very thankful. I did lose a few
of the weakened trees to the wind last night but they are nowhere near the
house. I have heard the Doug fir over my head shed some of its load and expect
that will happen more frequently as the days progress.
Conditions on twenty meters this week were not the best and forty was weak
too except for a contact I had last night shortly after dinner. When I
examined our respective locations I found a line of sight path between us. So
a great groundwave QSO into Washington. He mentioned how lonely 40 meters can
get so it looks like we may meet again as I spin the dial. The only way
propagation could be effected between us is if my antennas fall down :) Even
then it would only be a matter of a few S units loss.

Please join us tomorrow evening.
