Ron, Thanks. I decided to take the top and left side covers off to try to get to the battery without removing the KRX3. I managed to pull the battery out and check it again. It was OK. After I put everything back together, the date and time started working normally. There didn't seem to be anything in the battery holder to keep it from making good contact. This was a problem before I installed the KRX3 (and the battery cover) so I really don't know what could have gotten in there. But it's all working now.
