Thanks to all who replied. 

I understand now that the separate price for initial orders to account for the 
swapping of
the standard 2.7-KHz part with the 2.8-KHz part. 

When I ordered my K3/100 (s/n 1192), the 2.8-KHz filters were backordered. This 
predated
the separate part numbers. The 2.8-KHz filter for the K3 main receiver was 
received here a
while ago as the backorder cleared, but has not yet been installed. I just 
wanted to make
sure that I can still swap in that part while I'm also installing the KRX3.

KRX3 installation tomorrow (Friday)!
