After installing the KRX3 module, I get an "ERR IF1" message when I power the radio on (this is the only error message); the manual indicates a problem with KNB3. Further, holding "LEVEL" produces "IF N/A" in the VFO B area of the display (the "DSP" NB function appears to operate correctly based on audible observations). The "ERR IF1" message does not appear if the KNB3 is disabled via the CONFIG menu.
I took the following dianostic steps: - Removed the KRX3 and set the KRX3 CONFIG value to "not Inst," with no effect - Removed and reseated the KNB3 on the RF board, with no effect - Swapped the "main" KNB3 with the "sub" KNB3, with no effect There does not appear to be any way to independently set the action of the "main" and "sub" KNB3, so I can't use the "sub" for differential diagnosis. Any suggestions from the esteemed list? I have K3 s/n 2435 with microcode version 2.67 firmware rev 5 installed today (4 Jan 09).
