Hi gang, Coming home after the JW trip I thought it was a good time to do the Elecraft recommended mods. After doing the mods, I lost the audio in my SUB RX. It didn't happen right away, but after a few hours use. The mods I did was;
- K3 AF OutPut Mod - K3 AF OutPut Mod - Improving the Immunity of the Rear-Panel RS232 and Audio Connectors to RF - K3 AF Mod - K3 Negative ALC and Ext Band Data Pull-up Mods In addition to this I installed the DVR and upgraded FW. I have now been tracing down the problem to the Remote I/O module (the upper one with D-subs) as audio from the SUB RX comes back as soon as I remove this module. It doesn't matter if the KI03 Audio I/O module is installed or not, the problem appear as soon as the Remote module is inserted. Has this happened to anyone else doing these mods? I suspect that it is related to one of the audio mods, but at this moment everything looks like it should according to the mod instructions. Any input appreciated! 73 de Björn, SM0MDG
