Hi... The build went swimmingly well. I did install the DVR and DSP board from the subRX on the initial build, just as outlined by many of you and, (when I finally read it) in the ver. F manual.
After all the hype about the subRX being difficult, I was surprised at how easily (for me?) it went together. I did have to file off some of the tits on the PC board that did not line up AT ALL (not even close) in order to get the shield to "not bulge," but that was cake. Too bad I didn't notice until after it was in the bottom half of the shield and I had to "take it back out." Still, it was pretty simple. Since there are plenty of standoffs on the bottom half anyway, I'm not sure what practical purpose the tits serve. The owner of the radio (not me) now his K3 at home and, I trust, is learning how to have some fun with it. Thanks again to everyone who responded to my prompting question.
