Good Evening,
   Another nice day in Oregon.  Unfortunately WS7L announced he washed his car;
now we must endure five months of rain until spring appears :( Oh well, it was
nice while it lasted! Carl, if you drive up here real quick all the fresh mud
will fend off the rain :) If we could only ship our rain clouds south of the
border I am sure the folks in California would not mind one bit. I don't know
if they would like five solid months of rain but it may just fill their stone
dry reservoirs.
Conditions today were pretty good. I was having problems with the antenna I
just repaired; strange problems. I would send a few characters and then I
would hear them echo as I sent the next few characters. I went out with
binoculars after the net and looked at the feed point. All seems in order but
I will drop it this week and see if I can find anything wrong with it. As long
as I am on the roof I will drop the other antenna and hoist it higher once I
get a center guy reattached at the feed point. Both of them are not feeling
well after the heavy snow and most especially after the high winds dropped some
limbs on them. It will be nice to get them both up higher again. The lower
antenna has high noise so I was having a tough time hearing the weaker
stations. The QSB was not making life any easier either.

Hopefully all the information I have listed is correct but I do need a few
fills on serial numbers. If you read the reflector please email me with the
information and I will get it into the database. Now to prepare for the car
washing induced storm! I will get even more wood into the house and await the
torrential rains. If only we could aim them south of Ashland.
I am glad the Midwestern below zero temperatures have abated. They can go
back to their more normal weather too. I just got a note from my brother and
his farm animals are happy again. He was fighting the freeze to get them
watered. Now he can go back to his metallurgy which keeps him warm.
   Until next week stay well,
      73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
