Mike, Could it be an RF issue in the shack? I notice similar behavior when I turn my moxon toward the shack but it goes away when I point in another direction. The antenna is on a push-up mast just outside the shack. When I use the K3 tuner on a wire antenna well away from the shack I don't see the problem at all.
