Well, maybe smoother tuning is not the best description. I built my K1 with the 80kHz tuning range option. With time, I found it was a little "touchy". Not wishing to go to a narrower tuning range, I sought another answer.
The solution was a weighted, K2 knob and two felt washers. Given the limitations of the K1, it's about as good as it gets. BTW, it is not at all bad cosmetically. 73, Neal WA6OCP K1 2639, K3 305 -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/K1-smoother-tuning-tp2195423p2195423.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
