Thank you to all who replied to my problem regarding the non-operation of the front panel microphone after I installed the KRX3.
The diagnosis was correct in that the pins were not mated on one of the connectors. A quick disassembly of the front panel and the DSP board got it fixed and now working great. Thanks again. Barry Simpson VK2BJ
