When transmitting (via AF PLAY) recordings made off air with AF REC, I would find it a convenience for MON to be automatically switched on at a preset level for the duration of the replay so that I can hear when I have reached the end of the recording I want to tx. Normally I don't have the monitor on when txing because I find it distracting. And a press/hold on MON, turning it up to the right level (without accidentally affecting PWR or CMP) and at the same time pressing PTT and AF PLAY can be a walk/chew gum problem (at least for me) when trying to do it quickly :-) Could this be done in firmware? Apologies if someone has already asked.
