I'm doing inventory on my second K3, one year after the first, and once again I'm struck by the level of detail and quality of every single submodule of this kit. The kids would say "sick"!!!
There are some differences, I can see various board revision components - how do they ever even keep track of this? Every single K3 is unique, yet equal to the rest. There are -hundreds- of parts, yet they are all bagged and labelled and of the proper revision and type. All the right stuff ends up in the box. The finish on the cabinet parts is now more of a powder coat like the 80's and 90's Icoms than on #272 where it's more of a baked on enamel. I like them both. If I write them an email, or call them tomorrow about anything - I will hear back tomorrow and the answer will be relevent and proper.
