The General Coverage BP filter set seems to have no effect on the ham bands - it shouldn't, as it is switched out during ham band receive.
If you do get the General Coverage BP filters, note that for maximum sensitivity for MW reception use the RX antenna input rather than the main Xmit antenna(s) inputs. When connected this way, the sensitivity and performance are excellent! And you will need either an AM or FM roofing filter if you want to do AM detection rather than SSB. Only missing piece is the synchronous detection firmware. 73 Craig AC0DS <>I tried to listen to the AM Broadcast band on my K3. I got basically nothing. I'm assuming I'd need the <>general coverage bandpass filter module. Does this module degrade RX performance in the ham bands? I <>assume so. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
