You would have to switch back and forth manually, a dangerous solution. If
you wish to use a receiving antenna you can purchase the transverter kit
which supports a receive antenna.

You could also build a box with a relay that switches to the Xmit antenna on
ptt ground, much like the transverter board. You can also include a toggle
to switch between the xmit or receive antenna regardless of the ptt state.

Subject: [Elecraft] ANT 2 as RX antenna?

Dear Elcrafters,

I don't have the sub receiver (jet) but I do have the tuner installed. Is it
possible to use the 2nd antenna as an RX antenna? I would like to transmit
on a vertical on ANT 1 and use beverages on ANT 2. Do I need to switch back
and forward between ANT 1 and ANT 2 or can I set the K3 to do this
automatically?

73, Maarten
