The mod and photos in the "Elecraft K3 AF Amplifier Output Modification" document show yellow-violet-brown color codes on the resistors (followed by a gold tolerance band).
That's 470 ohms, not 4.7K ohms. I'm looking at page 3 of: http://www.elecraft.com/K3/mods/AF_Output_Mod_Rev_C.pdf Is that the mod you're looking at Pete?
