OK, it looks like there is a bug here. Someone wrote that they can drive a
transverter through the antenna socket with the KXV3 installed, so I tried
playing with the KXV3 option. If I set it to installed and back again, the
power control shows the high power level (withing the selected range.) But
if I change band and then go back to 145MHz again it loses the setting, and
I have to go into the menu again. Hopefully this will be an easy one to fix.
