I think the response time depends on how busy the processor is, in other words, what it is doing at the time. Some computer logging programs poll the radio excessively (in my opinion, for example ten times a second) to get the current frequency, mode, etc. If you are running such software at the same time as you are twiddling the knobs, that could account for what you are seeing. ----- Julian, G4ILO.
