I'd encourage everyone to try to work at a lower power, yes, it puts a bit more emphasis on conditions, and a bit more effort for the prop gods, but when it is all done, holding that qsl card from a Chek, or other Eu country, or Asia, or pretty much anywhere, that states quite simply that the contact was made with under 1 watt from his end, and you know you were using less than 5... makes a lasting impression.
One that states proudly, and rightfully so, 250 Milliwatts, is very nice to hold. Two el quad on this end at 40 feet, a 6 el yagi at 60 feet on that end. And it wasn't at the peak of the sunspots either... just the peak of signals of that day. --... ...-- Dale - WC7S in Wy _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live⢠Groups: Create an online spot for your favorite groups to meet. http://windowslive.com/online/groups?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_groups_032009 ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
