EMP is ElectroMAGNETIC Pulse. The only shielding that is effective is a high permeability enclosure (steel, nickel, etc). Electronics in aluminum enclosures are as vulnerable as breadboards ... well, almost as vulnerable. My guess is that there is no effective was for ordinary folks to protect their stuff. The military uses permeable enclosures, conduit, etc.
